Not your everyday WINE COUNTRY TREK!
Join us for Prosser Kiwanis Wine Country Trek in conjunction with Prosser Balloon Rally Weekend. The original Wine Country Trek with a great new route beginning and ending in Prosser, Washington – the heart of wine country.
The route roams through Yakima Valley past wineries, vineyards, cherry and apple orchards.
You will leave Prosser Saturday morning and enjoy a pleasant ride along the Yakima River. Then turn north and pedal past vineyards and orchards with stops for great snacks and lunch at a local winery. After lunch you will coast back into Prosser and enjoy tasting wine at local wineries. In the evening you will be treated to a wonderful prime rib and salmon dinner provided (as always) by the local Knights of Columbus paired with local award winning wines.
After dinner you will have the choice of attending the Balloon Rally “Night Glow” or participate in some of Prosser’s Harvest Festival doings.
Early Sunday morning you will have the opportunity to watch the balloons take off for their morning flight. After breakfast, you will leave Prosser and head east through more beautiful farm country. Again, the rest stop snacks are tasty and plentiful. Riders enjoy lunch at a local winery and then back to Prosser for showers and departure.
This year we are offering the opportunity to camp on Friday night for an extra charge of $10.00 – we hope this will make it more convenient for our out of town participants.
Start in end in the Heart of Wine Country – Prosser
